Council Decision (CFSP) 2026/1719 of 13 July 2026 amending Decision (CFSP) 2025/2377 on an assistance measure under the European Peace Facility to support the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo

Official Journal EN of the European Union L series 2026/1719 14.7.2026 COUNCIL DECISION (CFSP) 2026/1719 of 13 July 2026 amending Decision (CFSP) 2025/2377 on an assistance measure under the European Peace Facility to support the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION, Having regard to the Treaty on European Union, and in particular Article 28(1) and Article 41(2) thereof, Having regard to the proposal from the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy,

Whereas:

(1) On 24 November 2025, the Council adopted Decision (CFSP) 2025/2377(1)that established an assistance measure under the European Peace Facility (EPF) to support the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

(2) The management of that assistance measure should be changed from direct to indirect management, as the implementing actor now meets the required conditions.

(3) Decision (CFSP) 2025/2377 should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1 Amendments to Decision (CFSP) 2025/2377 In Decision (CFSP) 2025/2377, Article 4(2) is replaced by the following: ‘2. The implementation of the activities referred to in Article 1(3) of this Decision shall be carried out by Economat des Armées.’.

Article 2 Entry into force This Decision shall enter into force on the date of its adoption.
