Dated:01.09.2026] The following notification of the Election Commission of India, New Delhi, No.23/2025- ERS(Vol.II), dated the 01st September, 2026/ Bhadrapada 10, 1948(Saka) is published: -

NOTIFICATION

Whereas, the Commission, vide its letter no 23/2025-ERS (Vol.II) dated 14.05.2026, had announced Special Intensive Revision in 19 States/UTs including Andhra Pradesh.

Whereas, in the state of Andhra Pradesh, the draft roll was published on 31.07.2026 and the period of filing claims and objections was fixed from 31.07.2026 to 30.08.2026 and disposal of claims & objections was fixed upto 28.09.2026; and2 ANDHRA PRADESH GAZETTE EXTRAORDINARY [PART-V]

Whereas the Commission on the request of Chief Electoral Officer, Andhra Pradesh, and in exercise of the power conferred by proviso to Rule 12 of the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960, has decided to extend the period for filing of claims and objections up to 10.09.2026 for ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls with reference to 01.07.2026 as the qualifying date in the State of Andhra Pradesh.
