In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (k) of sub-section (1) of Section 6 of the Indian Ports Act, 1908 (Central Act XV of 1908), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Tamil Nadu Minor Ports Harbour Craft Rules, 1953, the draft of the same having been previously published as required under sub-section (2) of Section 6 of the said Act.
Amendment.
In the said Rules, in rule 25, for sub-rule (1), the following sub-rule shall be substituted, namely:- "(1). Fees for Survey, Registration, Licensing, Inspection and Endorsing change of Tindals:- The following fees shall be leviable for the Survey, Registration, Licensing, Inspection and Endorsing change of Tindals of
Harbour Crafts in the Table given below:- The Table.
Harbour Craft other than Canoes and Catamarans SI.
Description. canoes and shoe dhonies. plying for hire.

HOME DEPARTMENT Amendment to the Tamil Nadu Cinemas (Regulation) Rules, 1957 [G.O.Ms.No.33, Home (Cinema), 24th January 2026, தைை 10, விசுவாாவாசு, திருவாள்ளுவார் ஆண்டு-2057.] No. SRO A-4/2026.
In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1955 (Tamil Nadu Act IX of 1955), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Tamil Nadu Cinemas (Regulation) Rules, 1957.Feb. 11, 2026] TAMIL NADU GOVERNMENT GAZETTE 7
2. The amendment hereby made shall be deemed to have come into force on the 11th day of July, 2023.
Amendment In the said Rules, in rule 40, for sub-rule (4), the following sub-rule shall be substituted, namely:- "(4) The Executive Engineer shall issue a certificate of structural soundness of the building in Form 'N' along with a report in Form 'O' which shall be valid for a period of three years:
Provided that in the case of a building with Framed Structure, which is more than 35 years old and in the case of a building with Load Bearing Structure, which is more than 20 years old, the certificate of structural soundness shall
be valid for a period of two years only:
Provided further that, for reasons to be recorded in writing, the officer granting the certificate may refuse to issue such certificate.
Explanation.- For the purpose of issuing a certificate under this rule, the Executive Engineer shall have power to make an inspection of the building including the right to probe any portion of the structure and to call upon the applicant for the licence to furnish him with detailed particulars regarding the quality and proportion of the materials used in the construction of the building." HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT Amendments to the Tamil Nadu Regularisation of Unapproved Layouts and Plots Rules, 2017. [G.O.Ms.No.13, Housing and Urban Development [UD4(1)], 27th January 2026, தைை 13, விசுவாாவாசு, திருவாள்ளுவார் ஆண்டு-2057.] No. SRO A-5/2026.
In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 113 read with Section 122 of the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1971 (Tamil Nadu Act 35 of 1972), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Tamil Nadu Regularisation of Unapproved Layouts and Plots Rules, 2017, namely:- Amendments In the said Rules,-
(1) in rule 24, in the TABLE, in column 6, for the entries "upto 29th February 2024" the entry "onwards" shall be substituted;
(2) for rule 25, the following rule may be substituted, namely:- "25. Notwithstanding anything contained in these rules, in respect of cases not covered under rule 24, any layout promoter eligible to file an application for regularisation under rule 3, may apply for regularisation of the unapproved layout on-line in Form-1 to the Competent Authority, on or before 30th June 2026 and any individual plot owner eligible to file an application for regularisation under rule 3, may apply for regularisation of the unapproved plot on-line in Form-I to the Competent Authority, at any time. If any such application is received, the procedure laid down under
rule 24 shall be followed.".
