NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 17th March, 2016 S.O. 1163(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (3) of article 77 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961, namely:-

1. (1) These rules may be called the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Three Hundred and Twenty Second Amendment Rules, 2016.

(2) They shall come into force at once.

2. In the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961, in the SECOND SCHEDULE,-

(a) under the heading “MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (VANIJYA AUR UDYOG MANTRALAYA)”, under the sub-heading “B. DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL POLICY AND PROMOTION (AUDYOGIK NITI AUR SAMVARDHAN VIBHAG)” after entry 31A, the following entries shall be inserted, namely:- “31B. The Copyright Act, 1957 (14 of 1957) and International Conventions on Copyrights.

31C. The Semiconductor Integrated Circuits Layout Design Act, 2000 (37 of 2000).”;

(b) under the heading “MINISTRY OF COMMUNICATIONS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (SANCHAR AUR SOOCHANA PRAUDYOGIKI MANTRALAYA)”, under the sub-heading “C. DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRONICS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (ELECTRONIKI AUR SOOCHANA PRAUDYOGIKI VIBHAG)”, for entry 6, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:- “6. Matters relating to promotion and manufacturing of Semiconductor Devices in the country excluding all matters relating to Semiconductor Complex Limited (SCL), Mohali.”;

(c) under the heading “MINISTRY OF HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT (MANAV SANSADHAN VIKAS MANTRALAYA)”, under the sub-heading “B. DEPARTMENT OF HIGHER EDUCATION (UCHCHATAR SHIKSHA VIBHAG)”, entry 6 shall be omitted.
