2. भारत सरकार ((((काय-& आबंटन)))) िनयम,,,, 1961 म,,:,, ि(cid:27)तीय अनुसूची म,,:,, ''पृ< वी िव=ान मं>ालय’’ शीष&क के अधीन,,,, िव@मान (cid:28)िविAय! के Bथ ान पर,,,, िन’न िलिखत (cid:28)िविAयां रखी जाएगं ी,,,,- ''1. पृ<वी आयोग और उसस ेसंबिं धत सभी िवषय ।

2. (क) (i) महासागर,,,, वातावरण और मौसम िव=ान,,,, भूकंप िव=ान और ठोस पृ< वी,,,, Jुवीय िव=ान और पृ<वी (cid:28)णाली िव=ान से संबंिधत नीित,,,, समKवय और BकLम! से संबिं धत ऐसे िवषय जो Nकसी अKय िवभाग या मं>ालय को िविनOदAतया आबंPटत नहR Nकए गए ह;,

NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 18th May, 2016 S.O. 1832(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (3) of article 77 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961,

namely:-

1. (1) These rules may be called the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Three Hundred and Twenty Fifth Amendment Rules, 2016.

(2) They shall come into force at once.

2. In the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961, in THE SECOND SCHEDULE, under the heading “MINISTRY OF EARTH SCIENCES (PRITHVI VIGYAN MANTRALAYA)”, for the existing entries the following entries shall be substituted, namely:- “1. Earth Commission and all matters relating thereto.

2. (a) (i) Matters of policy, coordination and schemes relating to the Ocean, Atmospheric and Meteorological Sciences, Seismology and Solid Earth, Polar Science and Earth System Sciences, not specifically allocated to any other Department or Ministry;

(ii) research (including fundamental research) related to Earth System Sciences and the development of uses relatable thereto;

(iii) technology development;

(iv) surveys to map, locate and assess living and non-living marine resources;

(v) preservation, conservation and protection of marine and polar resources;

(vi) development of appropriate skills and manpower;

(vii) international collaboration and cooperation;

(b) laws and regulatory measures relating to the above.

3. Marine Environment on the high seas.

4. Earth System Science Oganisation (ESSO).

5. Earth System Science and Technology Agency or Board.”.
