RASHTRAPATI BHAVAN MORE ACCESSIBLE: LOK SABHA SPEAKER प्रव तथ: 12 AUG 2026 9:08PM by PIB Delhi Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today released the autobiography of former President Shri Ram Nath Kovind, titled ‘Triumph of the Indian Republic: My Life, My Struggles’ at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla was present on the occasion and described the release of the book as a matter of great pride and significance.

Speaking at the distinguished gathering, Shri Birla observed that the autobiography of former President Shri Ram Nath Kovind, an embodiment of high constitutional ideals, presents an extraordinary journey of determination, struggle, and achievement. Recalling the challenges of Shri Kovind’s early life, including the difficulties he faced in pursuing his education, he said that his journey from a humble and economically disadvantaged background to the highest constitutional office of the country reflects his extraordinary resolve and serves as an enduring source of inspiration for generations to come.

The Lok Sabha Speaker noted that Shri Kovind’s unwavering commitment to constitutional values enabled him to leave an indelible mark as an advocate. His tenure as a Member of Parliament, he said, was marked by dedication to the welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, social justice, and probity in public life.Referring to Shri Kovind’s tenure as Governor, Shri Birla mentioned that he provided a new direction to transparency, quality, and technological innovation in higher education. As President of India, he upheld the constitutional traditions of Indian democracy and demonstrated an unwavering commitment to social harmony and inclusive development. Further, through his visits to several countries, he also contributed to strengthening India’s international diplomatic relations, he added.

Shri Birla also mentioned that during the challenging period of the COVID-19 pandemic, Shri Kovind instilled courage, unity, and confidence among the people of the country and made the Rashtrapati Bhavan more accessible to the public. He described this as one of Shri Kovind’s significant achievements.

The Lok Sabha Speaker added that even after demitting the office of President, Shri Kovind continues to contribute to the nation, the Constitution, and society through his vast experience, reflections on public life, and commitment to social justice. Shri Birla expressed confidence that ‘Triumph of the Indian

Republic: My Life, My Struggles’ would bring before readers important episodes from Shri Kovind’s life and inspire them to play a purposive role in public life. He concluded by extending his warm congratulations and best wishes to Shri Ram Nath Kovind on the publication of the book.
