Will the Minister of EXTERNAL AFFAIRS be pleased to state :
(a) the total number of passport processing centres operational in Delhi;
(b) the number of passports issued and cancelled in Delhi during the last three years; and
(c) the steps taken by the Government to make passports easily avail- able? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS (SHRI KIRTI VARDHAN SINGH) 1(a) Currently, 3 Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs) and 5 Post Office Passport Seva Kendras (POPSKs) are operational in Delhi under the Regional Passport Office (RPO) Delhi to cater the passport and related services in the region.
Also, 1 PSK and 4 POPSKs are also operational in Haryana under RPO Delhi.
(b) The number of passports issued and cancelled under RPO Delhi dur-
ing the last three years as indicated below:

(c) Government has taken several steps to make passport services more accessible and citizen-friendly, including expansion of the Passport Seva network through PSKs and POPSKs. Online application and appointment system are available on the Passport Seva Portal for the applicants for filling up the form anytime and anywhere. Passport Seva is also available through 2the mobile apps. Passport system is seamlessly integrated with other stakeholders including Department of Posts, Police authorities, for the pro- cessing of passport issuance. Moreover, in June 2018, Ministry launched the ‘Apply anywhere in India’ scheme under which a passport can be applied at any PSK/POPSK in India. Also, MEA has been regularly deploying Passport Mobile Van, for on-site passport processing in rural/remote, hilly and under- served areas.
