ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR TRIBAL AFFAIRS (SHRI DURGADAS UIKEY)
(a) to (d): Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM JANMAN) was launched by the Hon'ble Prime Minister on 15th November, 2023 for the socio-economic development of the 75 Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) communities residing in 18 States including Gujarat and one Union Territory.
The mission aims to provide basic facilities to improve their socio-economic conditions such as safe housing, clean drinking water and improved access to education, health and nutrition, road and telecom connectivity, electrification of unelectrified households and sustainable livelihood opportunities. These objectives are being met through 11 interventions implemented by 9-line Ministries. The details of the benefits given under PM JANMAN, as on 30.06.2026, Ministry-wise & State- wise and District-wise in Gujarat, are given at Annexure I. The progress so made under the abhiyan has contributed to the socio-economic development of PVTGs through improvement in basic amenities and livelihood opportunities.
Ministry of Tribal Affairs through the State Governments/UT Administration/departments has undertaken habitation level data collection exercise through PM Gati Shakti mobile application to estimate PVTG population figures and infrastructure gaps in order to cover PVTG population residing in villages & habitations covered under PM JANMAN. Based on the data captured, State/UT- wise, PVTG villages, habitations and population is tabulated at Annexure II. The actual number beneficiaries to be covered under the abhiyan is subjected to eligibility criteria of specific guidelines of concerned interventions as per norms approved.Annexure โ I Annex referred to in reply to part (a) to (d) of Lok Sabha Unstarred Question No. 1879 for answer on 30.07.2026 raised by Dr. Vinod Kumar Bind, Shri Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Shri Hasmukhbhai Somabhai Patel and Shri Dhaval Laxmanbhai Patel regarding โProgress under PM-JANMANโ The details of progress of interventions under PM JANMAN State-wise (as on 30.06.2026)* MoRD (PMA MoRD (PMG MoHFW MoWCD (P MoJS (JJM) MoE (SSA) Y-G) SY) (NRHM) OSHAN 2.0) S.
