NOTIFICATION Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar, 1st May, 2026 CONSTITUTION OF INDIA.

No. GS/2026/12/KPT/102022/560/K:- In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Section Officer, Class-II (Departmental Examination) Rules, 2023, namely:-

1. (1) These rules may be called Section Officer, Class-II (Departmental Examination) (Amendment) Rules, 2026.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Section Officer, Class-II (Departmental Examination) Rules, 2023, (hereinafter referred to as “the said rules”) in Appendix-A,

(i) in PAPER I under the heading SERVICE MATTERS-1 (with books), entry no. 6 shall be deleted.

(ii) in PAPER II, under the heading SERVICE MATTERS-2 (with books), for the entry at Serial no.5, the following shall be substituted, namely:- “The Gujarat (Right of Citizens to Public Services) Act, 2013”.

(iii) in PAPER III under the heading FINANCIAL MATTERS (with books), for the entry at Serial no.4, the following shall be substituted, namely:- “The Financial Powers (Delegation) Rules, 1998”.
