NOTIFICATION Junagadh, 31st August, 2026 THE GUJARAT PROVINCIAL MUNICIPAL CORPORATION ACT, 1949.

No. JuMC/ADM/Esta/R.R./830/2026:- In exercise of the powers conferred by the sub section (3) of section 457 of Gujarat Provincial Municipal Corporation Act, 1949, The Junagadh Municipal Corporation hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Sub Fire Officer, Class-III in the Junagadh Municipal Corporation Recruitment Rules-2020,

namely:-

1. These rules may be called the Sub Fire Officer, Class-III in the Junagadh Municipal Corporation Recruitment

(Amendment) Rules, 2026.

2. Hereinafter referred to as the “said rules” in rule 4(B) for the words “Possess a Bachelor's degree obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognised as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, and Completed the Sub Officer’s Course or the Fire Prevention course recognised by the National Fire Service College, Nagpur; Or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Fire)/ Bachelor’s of Technology (Fire)/ Bachelor’s of Engineering (Fire and safety)/ Bachelor’s of Technology (Fire and safety)/ Bachelor’s of Science (Fire)/Bachelor’s of Science (Fire and safety) obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a University under

section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956;” shall be substituted.

namely:-

1. These rules may be called the Fireman, Class-IV in the Junagadh Municipal Corporation Recruitment

(Amendment) Rules, 2026.

Hereinafter referred to as the “said rules” in rule 4(B)(i) & (ii) for the words “Possess a Higher Secondary school certificate examination from secondary and/or Higher Secondary education board or possess an equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Government; and Passed at least Six Months Full Time Course of Fireman or above level offered by National Fire Academy, Vadodara or NCVT or GCVT; wherever they occur the word “(i) have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination conducted by a Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board or possess an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government and (ii) possess a certificate of six months course of Fireman from recognized institution of State or Central Government or Industrial Training Institute, Fireman Course or Driver-cum-Pump Operator Course from the recognised institution of State or Central Government;” shall be substituted.

1. Said rules in Appendix – A for the words Minimum Physical Standards for the post of Fireman, Class-IV, in the subordinate service of the Junagadh Municipal Corporation.

A. For Male Candidates:

Chest (Minimum in Minimum Height Minimum Centimetres) Class in Centimetres Weight Deflated Inflated Scheduled Tribes candidate of 160 81 86 50 Kg Gujarat origin.

Candidates (Except Scheduled 165 81 86 50 Kg Tribes of Gujarat origin).
