Prime Minister's Office Prime Minister speaks to the Prime Minister of Nepal PM conveys condolences over loss of lives in floods

Posted On: 26 AUG 2026 6:02PM by PIB Delhi The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi spoke to Prime Minister of Nepal Shri Balendra Shah and conveyed his condolences on the loss of lives due to floods in Nepal. Shri Modi said that the people of India stand in solidarity with their sisters and brothers in Nepal during this difficult time.

He also reaffirmed that India is ready to provide all possible humanitarian assistance to Nepal, and Indian teams are coordinating closely with the Nepalese authorities on rescue and relief efforts.

The Prime Minister posted on X:
