NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 27th June, 2024 No. F. 8/1/2024-ME.—WHEREAS, in pursuance of the provisions of Section 2 of the Salary and Allowances of Leaders of Opposition in Parliament Act, 1977 (No. 33 of 1977), the Speaker of the House of the People has recognized Shri Rahul Gandhi as the Leader of the Opposition in the House of the People with effect from 9th June, 2024.

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 9 of the said Act, the Central Government hereby notifies Shri Rahul Gandhi as the Leader of the Opposition in the House of the People with effect from 9th June, 2024 for the purposes of the said Act.
