Ministry of Tribal Affairs Special Initiatives under DAJGUA प्रव तथ: 06 AUG 2026 12:30PM by PIB Delhi The Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Shri. Durgadas Uikey informed in Lok Sabha on Wednesday that Hon'ble PM launched Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) on 2nd October, 2024.
The Abhiyan comprises of 25 interventions implemented by 17 line Ministries and aims to saturate infrastructural gaps in 63,843 villages with an aims to improve access to health, education, Anganwadi facilities and providing livelihood opportunities benefiting more than 5 crore tribals in 549 districts and 2,911 blocks in 30 States/UTs in 5 years.
The details of interventions implemented by line Ministries under DAJGUA is at Annexure I. There are 591 villages in 11 blocks from Chhindwara and Pandhurna Districts, Madhya Pradesh are included in DAJGUA village list for implementation of benefits under DAJGUA.
The Ministry has requested the State Governments/UT Administrations to furnish the list of villages that meet the eligibility criteria for inclusion in the DAJGUA village list, i.e tribal-majority villages with a population of 500 or more and at least 50% tribal residents. To expedite the implementation of the works and timely delivery of the benefits of the Schemes to the beneficiaries under Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA), the Ministry of Tribal Affairs conduct regular Inter – Ministerial and coordination meetings with line ministries under DAJGUA, to ensure effective implementation of the scheme. Further, regular review meetings are also held with respective States/ Districts Authority.
Provision of PMU has also been made for effective monitoring and implementation of the scheme.
