Vice President's Secretariat Vice President to Visit Andaman and Nicobar Islands on August 8–9 प्रव तथ: 07 AUG 2026 3:10PM by PIB Delhi The Vice-President of India, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, will undertake a two-day visit to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on August 8–9, 2026.
On August 8, the Vice-President will visit the Cellular Jail National Memorial at Sri Vijay Puram, where he will pay tributes at the Martyrs' Column, offer respects at the Swatantrata Jyoti, and visit Veer Savarkar's Cell. Later, he will also attend the Light and Sound Show showcasing the saga of India's freedom movement and the sacrifices of the brave freedom fighters.
On August 9, the Vice-President will participate in the 'Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyaan' by hoisting the National Flag at Flag Point in Sri Vijay Puram. Later, he will attend the State Function - "Tiranga Concert on Vande Mataram" at the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT) Auditorium.
