और उक्त रािपत्र की प्रजतया ाँिनता को 20 फरिरी, 2025 को उपलब् ध करा िी गई थीं; और उि प्रारूप जिजनयमों के संबंध में िनता से प्राि आपजियों और सुझािों पर भारतीय खाद्य सुरक्षा और मानक प्राजधकरण द्वारा जिचार कर जलया गया ह;ै अतः अब भारतीय खाद्य सुरक्षा और मानक प्राजधकरण, उि अजधजनयम की धारा 23 के साथ पठठत धारा 92 की उप-धारा (2) के खडं (ट) द्वारा पिि िजियों का प्रयोग करत े हुए, खाद्य सुरक्षा और मानक (लेबललगं और प्रििनश ) जिजनयम, 2020 का और संिोधन करने के जलए जनम्नजलजखत जिजनयम बनाता है, अथातश ्,:— 5361 GI/2025 (1)2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART III—SEC.4] जिजनयम

1. (1) इन जिजनयमों का संजक्षप् त नाम खाद्य सुरक्षा और मानक (लेबललगं और प्रििनश ) प्रथम सिं ोधन जिजनयम,2025 ह।ै

(2) य ेजिजनयम 01 िुलाई 2026 स ेप्रिृि होंगे।

2. खाद्य सुरक्षा और मानक (लबे ललंग और प्रििशन) जिजनयम, 2020 की, अनुसूची-II के, परै ा (2) में, कॉफी-कासनी जमश्रण से संबंजधत उप-परै ा 2.2 के स्ट्थान पर, जनम्नजलजखत उप-पैरा रखा िाएगा, अथाशत:् - “2.2 कॉफ़ी कासनी जमश्रण

(1) कॉफ़ी और कासनी के जमश्रण िाले प्रत्येक पैकेि के सामन ेिाल ेभाग पर जनम्नजलजखत घोषणाओं िाला लेबल हो : कॉफ़ी कासनी जमश्रण जमश्रण की सामग्री कॉफ़ी …………………………… प्रजतित कासनी ………………………….. प्रजतित अथिा कॉफ़ी कासनी जमश्रण जमश्रण की सामग्री कॉफ़ी …………% कासनी ……………%

NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 8th August, 2025 F. No. SS-T017/1/2023-Standard-FSSAI.—Whereas the draft Food Safety and Standards (Labelling and Display) Amendment Regulations, 2025, were published as required by sub-section (1) of section 92 of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 (34 of 2006), vide notification of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India number F.No. SS-T017/1/2023-Standard-FSSAI, dated the 17th February, 2025, in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part III, Section 4, inviting objections and suggestions from the persons likely to be affected thereby, before the expiry of the period of sixty days from the date on which the copies of the Official Gazette containing the said notification were made available to the public;

And whereas the copies of the said Gazette were made available to the public on the 20th February, 2025;

And whereas the objections and suggestions received from the public in respect of the said draft regulations have been considered by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (k) of sub-section (2) of section 92 read with

section 23 of the said Act, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Food Safety and Standards (Labelling and Display) Regulations, 2020, namely: - Regulations

1. (1) These regulations may be called the Food Safety and Standards (Labelling and Display) First Amendment Regulations, 2025.

(2) They shall come into force on 01 July, 2026.

2. In the Food Safety and Standards (Labelling and Display) Regulations, 2020, in Schedule-II, in paragraph 2, for sub-paragraph 2.2 relating to Coffee-Chicory Mixture, the following sub-paragraph shall be substituted, namely,- “2.2 Coffee-Chicory Mixture

(1) Every package containing a mixture of coffee and chicory shall have following label declaration on the front of

the package:— COFFEE BLENDED WITH CHICORY THIS MIXTURE CONTAINS COFFEE…………………………… PERCENT CHICORY………………………….. PERCENT OR COFFEE BLENDED WITH CHICORY THIS MIXTURE CONTAINS COFFEE …..%, CHICORY …..%

(2) Every package containing Instant Coffee-Chicory mixture shall have following label declaration on the front of the

package:

INSTANT COFFEE-CHICORY MIXTURE MADE FROM BLENDS OF COFFEE AND CHICORY COFFEE…………………………… PERCENT CHICORY………………………….. PERCENT4 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART III—SEC.4] OR INSTANT COFFEE-CHICORY MIXTURE MADE FROM BLENDS OF COFFEE AND CHICORY COFFEE …..%, CHICORY …..% G.
