और उक्त जवजनयमों के प्रारूप के संबंध में िनता से प्राप् त आपजियों और सुझावों पर भारतीय खाद्य सुरक्षा और मानक प्राजधकरण द्वारा जवचार कर जलया गया ह;ै अत: अब उक्त अजधजनयम की धारा 92 की उप धारा (2) के खंड (फ) द्वारा प्रित् त िजियों का प्रयोग करत े हुए भारतीय खाद्य सुरक्षा और मानक प्राजधकरण खाद्य सुरक्षा और मानक (वेगन फूड) जवजनयम, 2022 में और संिोधन करन े के जलए जनम्न जलजखत जवजनयम बनाती ह,ै अथाित,् - 3686 GI/2026 (1)2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART III—SEC.4]

1. (1) इन जवजनयमों का संजक्षि नाम खाद्य सुरक्षा और मानक (वगे न फूड) संिोधन जवजनयम, 2026 ह।ै

(2) ये जवजनयम 1 िलु ाई, 2027 को प्रवृत होंगे।

2. खाद्य सुरक्षा और मानक (वगे न फूड) जवजनयम, 2022 म,ें जवजनयम 4 के उप जवजनयम (2) के स्ट्थान पर जनम्नजलजखत रखा िाएगा, अथाित, - “(2) वेगन फूड के प्रत्येक पैकेि पर अनुमोिन के पश्चात जनम्न जवजनर्ििष्ट लोगो लगाया िाएगा:

NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 21st May, 2026 F. No. SS-T0T1(NOTI)/1/2025-Standard-FSSAI.—Whereas the draft of certain regulations, further to amend the Food Safety and Standards (Vegan Foods) Regulations, 2022 was published as required under sub-section

(1) of section 92 of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 (34 of 2006) vide notification of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India number F.No. STD/SP-18/T(VeganFoods), dated the 21st December, 2022 in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part III, section 4, inviting objections or suggestions from the persons likely to be affected thereby, before the expiry of the period of sixty days from the date on which the copies of the Official Gazette containing the said notification were made available to the public;

And whereas the copies of the said Official Gazette were made available to the public on the 23rd December, 2022;

And whereas, the objections and suggestions received from the public in respect of the said draft regulations have been considered by the Food safety and Standards Authority of India;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (v) of sub-section (2) of section 92 of the said Act, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Food Safety and Standards (Vegan Foods) Regulations, 2022, namely:-

1. (1) These regulations may be called the Food Safety and Standards (Vegan Foods) Amendment Regulations,

2026.

(2) They shall come into force on 1st July, 2027.

2. In the Food Safety and Standards (Vegan Foods) Regulations, 2022, in regulation 4, for sub-regulation (2), the following shall be substituted, namely:- “(2) Every package of vegan foods, after the approval, shall carry the logo as specified below:4 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART III—SEC.4]
