In accordance with section 59(2) of that Act(2), the Secretary of State has consulted NHS England before making these Regulations.
Citation, commencement and extent
1.โ(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Care Quality Commission (Additional Functions)
(Amendment) Regulations 2026.
(2) These Regulations come into force on 4th November 2026.
(3) These Regulations extend to England and Wales.
Amendment of the Care Quality Commission (Additional Functions) Regulations 2011 2 Omit regulation 4A (provision of training, guidance and support to bodies and individuals) of the Care Quality Commission (Additional Functions) Regulations 2011(3).

EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Regulations) These Regulations amend the Care Quality Commission (Additional Functions) Regulations 2011 (the 2011 Regulations). Regulation 2 omits regulation 4A of the 2011 Regulations, removing the Care Quality Commissionโs function of providing training, guidance and support to certain bodies and individuals which was inserted by The Care Quality Commission (Additional Functions) Regulations 2023 S.I. 2023/1163.
A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the private, voluntary or community bodies is foreseen.
