Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 154/2026 of 30 April 2026 amending Annex XVIII (Health and safety at work, labour law, and equal treatment for men and women) to the EEA Agreement [2026/1529]

Official Journal EN of the European Union L series 2026/1529 23.7.2026 DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEENo 154/2026 of 30 April 2026 amending Annex XVIII (Health and safety at work, labour law, and equal treatment for men and women) to the EEA Agreement [2026/1529] THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Directive (EU) 2022/2381 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 November 2022 on improving the gender balance among directors of listed companies and related measures(1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Annex XVIII to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1 The following point is inserted after point 21c (Council Directive 2004/113/EC) of Annex XVIII to the EEA Agreement: ‘21d. 32022 L 2381: Directive (EU) 2022/2381 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 November 2022 on improving the gender balance among directors of listed companies and related measures (OJ L 315,

7.12.2022, p. 44).’ Article 2 The text of Directive (EU) 2022/2381 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

Article 3 This Decision shall enter into force on 1 May 2026, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made(*).

Article 4 This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
