Ministry of Finance CGST Aurangabad Commissionerate Organises Outreach Programme on GST Developments, Taxpayer Services and Trade Facilitation

Posted On: 27 AUG 2026 12:19PM by PIB Mumbai Nagpur, 27 August 2026 CGST & Central Excise, Aurangabad Commissionerate, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in collaboration with DGTS Mumbai Zonal Unit successfully organized an Outreach Programme & Seminar-cum-Webinar on “Recent developments in GST, Trade facilitation and ease of doing business, taxpayer services and grievance redressal mechanism, voluntary compliance, CBIC’s digital initiatives, and other issues of mutual relevance for the benefit of taxpayers and stakeholders” on 25.08.2026.

The programme witnessed an impressive participation of attendees, joining both physically and virtually from various segments of trade, industry, and professional circles. The event commenced with a welcome address by Pr. ADG, DGTS Mumbai Zonal Unit, followed by a key note address by Commissioner, CGST & Central Excise, Aurangabad, emphasizing upon the various government’s initiatives and grievance redressal mechanisms put in place by CBIC viz., SAMVAAD, Outreach programmes, Open Door Policy, raising queries through e-mail, social media, directly reaching out to field formations and escalating matters to GSTN and GST Policy Wings periodically, for taxpayer’s benefits and expeditious resolution.A detailed presentation focusing on important changes in GST law and procedure and recent GSTN portal updates, trade facilitation and administrative reforms, auto approval of GST registrations for selected categories of taxpayers, GST rate revisions, GST Appellate Tribunal, HSNS Cess, etc., was made to enhance taxpayer awareness, promote procedural clarity, and strengthen compliance. Participants acknowledged the programme as highly productive, informative, and knowledge-enhancing, underscoring the importance of such outreach initiatives by department.
