EPFO Goa Urges Employers: Submit Pension Claims One Month in Advance Objective of the 'PRAYAAS' Initiative: Ensuring receipt of the Pension Payment Order (PPO) on the very day of retirement

Goa: 10 September 2026 The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Regional Office, Goa, is implementing the 'PRAYAAS' initiative. The objective of this initiative is to ensure that retiring employees receive their 'Pension Payment Order' (PPO) on the day of their retirement.

Under this initiative, pension-related claims are processed in advance to prevent any delay in employees receiving their post-retirement pension benefits. The initiative aims to ensure a smooth transition from employment to retirement and to minimize the need for pensioners to make repeated visits to the EPFO o ffice.

EPFO Goa has appealed to all employers in the state to cooperate in this effort. They have requested that pension claims for retiring employees—which are complete in all respects and include updated KYC details—be submitted at least one month prior to the date of retirement. Timely submission of complete pension claims will enable EPFO to process the cases in advance and issue the PPO on the day of retirement itself.

Sachin Shetty, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-I (Goa), has urged all establishments to actively participate in the 'PRAYAAS' initiative and ensure the timely processing of pension claims for their retiring employees.
