NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 16th August, 2023 S.O. 3832(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by the second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 34 of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (49 of 2016), the Central Government, in consultation with the Chief Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, having regard to the nature and type of work carried out, hereby exempts the Directorate of Income-tax, Central Board of Direct Taxes in respect of the posts of Income-tax Inspector and Tax Assistant from the provisions of the said section in so far as they relate to the benchmark disability of mental illness.
