The following notification dated:19th August, 2026 is published:-

NOTIFICATION

Whereas, the term of office of the two (2) members viz., i) Smt. Mayana Zakia Khanam and ii) Dr. Pandula Ravindra Babu, nominated by the Governor, to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council has been expired on 27.07.2026;

And whereas, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh has nominated two (2) persons to the Legislative Council under sub-clause (e) of clause (3) read with clause (5) of Article 171 of the Constitution of India;

Now, therefore, in pursuance of Section 74 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (Central Act 43 of 1951), the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby notifies the following two (2) names of the members so nominated:

1. Sri Varla Ramaiah
