Land use zone conversion from Water Body (Saltpan Brickkiln) into Commercial Use Zone ordered in G.O.(2D) No.197, Housing and Urban Development [UD4(NPM-1)] Department, dated :23.06.2026, the following variation are made to the Master Plan of Mamallapuram Local Planning Authority approved under the said act and published in the G.O.Ms.No.153 H & UD [UD4(2)] dated 20.06.2013, Notification No.28, at page No.481 of Part II—Section 2, of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette dated 17th July 2013.

1. The Election Petitioner in ELP.No 4 of 2024 has filed an original application in O.A.No. 865 of 2026 praying to grant leave to withdraw the Election Petition in ELP.No 4 of 2024.

2. This Hon'ble court, by orders dated 20.08.2026 and 28.09.2026 in O.A.No 865 of 2026 in ELP.No 4 of 2024 was pleased to direct publication and notification in the official gazette regarding the withdrawal of the election petition by the petitioner under section 109 and 110 of the Representation of the people act, 1951.

3. As per the provision of the Representation of the people act, 1951 any person entitled to continue the Election petition was required to apply within the period prescribed under law from the date of publication of the Gazette

Notification and the election petition stands posted on 14.10.2026.

4. It is submitted that if no application has been filed by any person seeking substitution or continuation of the Election Petition within the statutory period the election petition may be allowed to be withdrawn.

As per the order of the Hon'ble High Court dated 20.08.2026 and 28.09.2026 passed in the O.A.No. 865 of 2026, the next date of hearing is fixed on 14.10.2026. This Notification is issued in accordance with the section 109(2) of the of Representation of the people act, 1951.
