1. (1) इन जर्जनयमों को भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो (सलाहकार सजमजत) संिोधन जर्जनयम, 2026 कहा िाएगा।

(2) य ेजर्जनयम इस अजधसूचना के आजधकाठरक रािपत्र म ेंप्रकािन की जतजथ से लाग ूहोंगे।

2. भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो (सलाहकार सजमजत) जर्जनयम, 2018, जर्जनयम 5 के जलए, उप-जर्जनयम (1) के जलए जनम्नजलजखत प्रजतस्ट्थाजपत दकया िाएगा, अथावत्:— “अनरूु पता मूल्यांकन सलाहकार सजमजत म ेंजनम्नजलजखत सिस्ट्य होंगे, अथावत:् —

(i) ब्यरू ो के महाजनििे क — अध्यक्ष;

(iii) उद्योग, व्यापार तथा उनके संघों से िो प्रजतजनजध;

(iv) दकसी मान्यता प्राप्त उपभोिा संगिन से एक प्रजतजनजध;

(v) अध्यक्ष द्वारा नाजमत कोई अन्य सिस्ट्य;

NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 10th April, 2026 F. No. BS XI/04/03/2025-26.— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 39 read with section 5 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016), the Bureau, with previous approval of the Central Government, hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Bureau of Indian Standards (Advisory Committee) Regulations, 2018, namely:—

1. (1) These regulations may be called the Bureau of Indian Standards (Advisory Committee) Amendment Regulations, 2026.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Bureau of Indian Standards (Advisory Committee) Regulations, 2018, for regulation 5, for sub-regulation (1), following shall be substituted, namely:— “The Conformity Assessment Advisory Committee shall consist of the following members, namely: —

(i) Director General of the Bureau - Chairman;

(ii) one representative not below the rank of Joint Secretary or equivalent from each of the following–

(a) Department dealing with Trade Policy (World Trade Organisation or Technical Barriers to Trade) in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry;

(b) Ministry of Steel;

(c) Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade;

(d) Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises;

(e) Department of Consumer Affairs in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution;

(f) Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology.

(iii) two representatives from Industry, Trade and their Associations;

(iv) one representative from any recognised consumer organisation;

(v) any other member as nominated by the Chairman;
