1. लघ ुिीषकय एि प्रारंभ

(i) इन संजिजधयों को दिल्ली जिश्वजिद्यालय (संिोधन) संजिजधया,ं 2023 कहा िा सकता ह।ै

(ii) ये आजधकाररक रािपत्र म ेंप्रकािन जतजथ से लाग ूहो िाएंगे।

2. दिल्ली जिश्वजिद्यालय, 1922 के सजं िजधयों म,ें सजं िजध 11-F(4) म ेंजनम्नजलजखत प्रजतस्ट्थाजपत दकया िाएगा : मौििू ा सिं ोजधत 11-F (4) कुलपजत का काययकाल पााँच िषय का होगा और िह 11-F (4) कुलपजत का काययकाल पााँच िष य का होगा और पुनर्नययुजि के पात्र नहीं होंगे। िह एक और काययकाल के जलए पुनर्नययुजि के पात्र होंगे। बिते दक, उि पााँच िष य की अिजध समाप्त होन े के बाििूि िह तब तक काययरत रहगें े िब तक दक उनका उत्तराजधकारी जनयुि नहीं हो िाता और अपना काययभार नहीं संभाल लते े। - कोई पररितयन नहीं -- 6677 GI/2023 (1)2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART III—SEC.4] बिते यह भी दक कुलाध् यक्ष कुलपजत को, जिसकी कायायिजध समाप्त हो चुकी ह,ै ऐसी अिजध के जलए (एक िषय से ज्यािा नहीं) िो आििे में जिजनर्ियष्ट हो, काययरत रहने का आििे ि े - कोई पररितयन नहीं -- सकते ह।ैं हालांदक, कुलपजत के रूप में जनयुि व्यजि, अपनी कायायिजध या उसके दकसी जिस्ट्तार या सत्तर िषय की आय ु परू ा होन े तक, िो भी पहल े हो, काययरत रहगें े। - कोई पररितयन नहीं -- जिकास गुप्ता, कुलसजचि [जिज्ञापन-III/4/असा./497/2023-24] DEPARTMENT OF HIGHER EDUCATION (University of Delhi)

NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 17th October, 2023 F. No. 4-1/2023-CU.II.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (2) and (3) of Section 29 of the Delhi University Act 1922 (VIII of 1922), the Executive Council, with the approval of the Visitor, hereby makes the following amendments further to amend the Delhi University Statutes, 1922, namely:-

1. Short Title and Commencement:

(i) These Statutes may be called as the Delhi University (Amendment) Statutes, 2023

(ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Delhi University Statute, 1922, in Statute 11-F(4), following shall be substituted:

Existing Amended 11-F (4) The Vice-Chancellor shall hold office for a term of 11-F (4) The Vice-Chancellor shall hold office for a five years and shall not be eligible for re-appointment. term of five years and shall be eligible for re- appointment for another term.

Provided that, notwithstanding the expiry of the said period of five years, he shall continue in office until his successor is appointed and enters upon his office. --No Change --

Provided further that the Visitor may direct that a Vice Chancellor, whose term of office has expired, shall continue in office for such period, not exceeding one year, as may be specified in the direction. --No Change –
