1. सजं िप्त िाम एव ंप्रारंभ – (I) इि जियमों का संजिप्त िाम भारतीय जवजधक मापजवज्ञाि संस्ट्थाि, रांची, जििेिक (समूह ‘क’ पि) भती जियम, 2026 ह।ै

(2) य ेरािपत्र में प्रकािि की तारीख से प्रवृत्त होंगे।

2. पि की सख्ं या, वगीकरण और वते ि मट्रै रक्स म ें वते ि स्ट्तर - पि की संख्या, उसका वगीकरण और वेति मैट्ररक्स में स्ट्तर वह होगा िो इि जियमों स ेसंलग्न अिुसूची के कॉलम (2) स ेकॉलम (4) में जवजिर्िवष्ट ह।ै 8071 GI/2026 (1)2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(i)]

3. भती की पद्धजत, आय ु सीमा और अहताएव ं आदि - भती की पद्धजत, आयु-सीमा, अहतव ाएं और उससे संबंजधत अन्य बातें व े होंगी िो पूवोि अिुसूची के कॉलम (5) से कॉलम (13) म ेंजवजिर्िवष्ट ह।ैं

4. जिरहतव ा : वह व्यजि - (क) जिसिे ऐसे व्यजि से, जिसका पजत या जिसकी पत्नी िीजवत है, जववाह दकया ह ै या जववाह की संजविा की ह;ै या (ख) जिसिे अपि े पजत या अपिी पत्नी के िीजवत रहते हुए दकसी व्यजि से जववाह दकया ह ै या जववाह की संजविा की ह ै उि पि/पिों पर जियुजि का पात्र िहीं होगा :

परन्त ु यदि केन्रीय सरकार का यह समाधाि हो िाता ह ै दक ऐसा जववाह ऐसे व्यजि और जववाह के अन्य पिकार को लागू स्ट्वीय जवजध के अधीि अिुज्ञेय ह ैऔर ऐसा करिे के जलए अन्य आधार ह ैंतो वह दकसी व्यजि को इस जियम के प्रवतवि से छूट िे सकेगी।

5. जिजथल करि े की िजि : िहां केन्रीय सरकार की यह राय ह ै दक ऐसा करिा आव‍यक या समीचीि है, वहां वह उसके जलए िो कारण ह ैं उन्ह ें लेखबद्ध करके तथा सघं लोक सेवा आयोग से परामिव करके इि जियमों के दकसी उपबंध को दकसी वगव या प्रवग वके व्यजियों की बाबत, आििे द्वारा जिजथल कर सकेगी।

6. व्यावजृ त्त : इि जियमों की कोई बात, ऐसे आरिण/आरिणों, आयु-सीमा में छूट और अन्य ट्ररयायतों पर प्रभाव िहीं डालगे ी, जििका केन्रीय सरकार द्वारा इस संबंध म ें समय-समय पर िारी दकए गए आिेिों के अिुसार अिुसूजचत िाजतयों, अिुसूजचत िििाजतयों, अन्य जपछड े वगों, भूतपूव व सैजिकों और अन्य जविेष प्रवग व के व्यजियों के जलए उपबंध करिा अपेजित ह।ै अिसु चू ी पि का िाम । पि की संख्या । वगीकरण ।

(1) (2) (3) जििेिक । 01* (2026) साधारण केंरीय सेवा, समूह 'क', रािपजत्रत, अििुसजचवीय *कायवभार के आधार पर इसमें पट्ररवतवि संभव है। वेति-मैट्ररक्स में स्ट्तर । चयि अथवा अचयि पि । सीधी भती दकए िािे वाले व्यजियों के जलए आयु-सीमा ।

(4) (5) (6) लेवल-12 (78,800/- रु. 2,09,200/- रु.) लागू िहीं होता। लागू िहीं होता । सीधी भती दकये िािे वाले व्यजियों के सीधे भती दकए गए व्यजियों के जलए जवजहत पट्ररवीिा की अवजध, यदि कोई हो। जलए अपेजित िैजिक एवं अन्य अहतव ाएं आयु और िैजिक अहतव ाएं पिोन्नत व्यजियों के मामले में लागू होंगी या िहीं।

(10) संयुि जवजध – प्रजतजियुजि 100 (अल्पकाजलक अिुबंध सजहत)/पिोन्नजत पिोन्नजत या प्रजतजियुजि/आमेलि द्वारा भती के मामले में, वे श्रेजणया जििसे पिोन्नजत या प्रजतजियुजि/आमेलि दकया िाएगा।

(11) प्रजतजियुजि(अल्पकाजलक संजविा सजहत): केंरीय सरकार या राज्य सरकारों या केंर िाजसत प्रिेिों या सावविजिक उपक्रमों या स्ट्वायत्त जिकायों या वैधाजिक जिकायों या मान्यता प्राप्त जवश्वजवद्यालयों या मान्यता प्राप्त अिुसंधाि संस्ट्थािों के वे अजधकारी:

(क) (i) िो मूल संवगव या जवभाग में जियजमत आधार पर सििृ पि धाट्ररत दकए हुए हों; या

(ii) िो मूल संवगव या जवभाग में वेति मैट्ररक्स में स्ट्तर-11 (रु. 67700-208700) या समकि में जियजमत आधार पर पि पर जियुजि के बाि उस श्रेणी में पांच वषव की जियजमत सेवा दकए हो; और (ख) जिम्नजलजखत िैजिक अहतावएं और अिुभव रखते हों:

अजिवायव:

(i) दकसी मान्यता प्राप्त जवश्वजवद्यालय या संस्ट्थाि से भौजतकी या गजणत में स्नातकोत्तर (जिसमें स्नातक स्ट्तर पर भौजतकी एक जवषय हो); या

(ii) दकसी मान्यता प्राप्त जवश्वजवद्यालय या संस्ट्थाि से मैकेजिकल या इलेजक्रकल या इलेक्रॉजिक्स या कंप्यूटर या इंस्ट्ूमेंटेिि या इंफॉमेिि टेक्नोलॉिी इंिीजियररंग में स्नातक; और

(iii) मापजवज्ञाि उपकरणों (िैसे माप यंत्रों) या जवजधक मापजवज्ञाि से संबंजधत कायों में मािकीकरण, अंिांकि या प्रजििण प्रिाि करिे का िस वषव का जििण और/या व्यावहाट्ररक अिुभव। वांछिीय: हहिं ी का व्यावहाट्ररक ज्ञाि। ट्रटप्पण 1: वेति स्ट्तर-11 (₹67,700 - ₹2,08,700) में कायवरत जवभागीय प्रोफेसर (भारतीय जवजधक मापजवज्ञाि संस्ट्था) जिन्होंिे इस पि पर पांच साल की जियजमत सेवा पूरी कर ली है, उन्हें बाहरी अभ्यार्थवयों के साथ जवचाराधीि रखा िाएगा। यदि जवभागीय अभ्याथी का इस पि पर चयि होता ह,ै तो इसे पिोन्नजत द्वारा भरा गया मािा िाएगा।4 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(i)] ट्रटप्पण 2: प्रजतजियजु ि की अवजध, जिसके अंतगवत केंरीय सरकार के उसी या दकसी अन्य संगठि या जवभाग में इस जियुजि से ठीक पहले धाट्ररत दकसी अन्य काडर-बाह्य पि पर प्रजतजियुजि की अवजध ह,ै साधारणतया 4 वषव से अजधक िहीं होगी। ट्रटप्पण 3: प्रजतजियुजि द्वारा जियुजि के जलए अजधकतम आयु सीमा, आवेिि प्राप्त करिे की अंजतम तारीख को 56 वषव से अजधक िहीं होगी। यदि जवभागीय पिोन्नजत सजमजत जवद्यमाि ह ैतो उसकी संरचिा क्या है?

(12) लागू िहीं होता भती करिे में दकि पट्ररजस्ट्थजतयााँ में संघ लोक सेवा आयोग से परामिव दकया िाएगा

NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 19th October, 2026 G.S.R. 906(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution and in supersession of the Indian Institute of Legal Metrology, Ranchi (Group ‘A’ posts) Recruitment Rules, 2010, in so far as they relate to the post of Director, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the President hereby makes the following rules regulating the method of recruitment to the post of Director in the Indian Institute of Legal Metrology, Ranchi, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Department of Consumer Affairs, namely :-

1. Short title and commencement. – (1) These rules may be called the Indian Institute of Legal Metrology, Ranchi, Director (Group ‘A’ Post) Recruitment Rules, 2026.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. Number of post, classification and Pay Level in Pay Matrix. - The number of the post, its classification and Level in the Pay Matrix attached thereto shall be as specified in columns (2) to (4) of the Schedule annexed to these rules.

3. Method of recruitment, age-limit, qualifications, etc. - The method of recruitment, age-limit, qualifications and other matters relating thereto shall be as specified in columns (5) to (13) of the said Schedule.

4. Disqualification. - No person,

(a) who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living, or

(b) who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person, shall be eligible for

Provided that the Central Government may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt such person from the operation of this rule.

5. Power to relax. – Where the Central Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, it may, by order and for reasons to be recorded in writing and in consultation with the Union Public Service Commission, relax any of the provisions of these rules with respect to any class or category of persons.

6. Saving. – Nothing in these rules shall affect reservations, relaxation of age-limit and other concessions required to be provided for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, ex-servicemen and other special categories of persons in accordance with the orders issued by the Central Government from time to time in this regard.

(11) Deputation (including short term contract):

Officers under the Central Government or State Governments or Union territories or public sector undertakings or

autonomous bodies or statutory bodies or recognised universities or recognised research institutions:

(A)(i) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or

(ii) with five years regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the Pay Level- 11 (Rs. 67,700/- - Rs. 2,08,700/) in the Pay Matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and

(B) possessing the following educational qualifications and experience:6 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(i)]

Essential:

(i) Masters degree in Physics or Mathematics (with Physics as a subject at degree level) from a recognised university or institute; or

(ii) Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics or Computer or Instrumentation or Information Technology Engineering from a recognised university or institute; and

(iii) ten years experience of teaching and/or practical experience of standardisation, calibration or imparting training in Metrological items (e.g. measuring instruments) or in work connected with Legal Metrology.

Desirable: Working knowledge of Hindi.

Note 1: The departmental Professor (Indian Institute of Legal Metrology) in Pay Level-11 (Rs. 67,700/- - Rs.

2,08,700/-) with five years of regular service in the grade shall be considered along with outsiders and in case the departmental candidate is selected for appointment to the post; it shall be treated as having been filled by promotion.

Note 2: The period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organisation or department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed four years.

Note 3: The maximum age-limit for appointment by deputation shall be not exceeding fifty-six years as on the last date of receipt of applications.

If a Departmental Promotion Committee exists, what is its composition.
