Will the Minister of PLANNING be pleased to state:
(a) the number of public assets that have been monetised and the quantum of amount collected in the first phase of National Monetisation Pipeline (NMP); and
(b) the details and the names of the projects that have been monetised, State and assets-wise? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE (INDEPENDENT CHARGE) OF THE MINISTRY OF STATISTICS AND PROGRAMME IMPLEMENTATION; MINISTER OF STATE (INDEPENDENT CHARGE) OF THE MINISTRY OF PLANNING AND MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF CULTURE (RAO INDERJIT SINGH)
(a) and (b): The National Monetisation Pipeline (NMP) included assets with monetization potential of Rs. 6 lakh crore during the four-year period from 2021-22 to 2024-25. The target for the first three years was around Rs. 4.3 lakh crore, against which around Rs. 3.87 lakh crore was achieved. With regard to the achievements in 2024-25, against the target of Rs. 1.6 lakh crore, the achievement has been around Rs 1.43 lakh crore. NMP primarily includes linear assets such as highways, transmission lines, pipelines etc. which often span multiple states. The state wise details are not maintained under NMP. The class of project assets monetized under NMP broadly include toll roads, port terminals, storage warehouses, solar power plants, gati shakti terminals, redevelopment of colonies, power generation and transmission, discovered small fields, coal, mineral mining, etc. The details of the project specific aspects such as scope, investment are maintained by the respective project sponsoring authorities.
