Will the Minister of PLANNING be pleased to state:
(a) the details of the number of Atal Tinkering Labs (ATLs) sanctioned, established and operational under the Atal Innovation Mission in the country so far, State/UT, district and year-wise, particularly in Andhra Pradesh since its inception;
(b) the total funds allocated and disbursed for the establishment and functioning of these ATLs since its inception State/UT and year-wise;
(c) whether the Government has any proposal to establish new ATLs under the Union Budget 2025–26 and if so, the details thereof along with the criteria for selection of schools;
(d) whether the Government has received any proposals from the State Government of Andhra Pradesh or its affiliated institutions for setting up of new ATLs under the latest phase and if so, the details and the status thereof; and
(e) the steps taken/being taken by the Government to ensure equitable distribution of ATLs across different regions of Andhra Pradesh? (a) Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) has established a total of 10,000 Atal Tinkering Labs
(ATLs) across the country since its inception in 2016, out of which 713 ATLs have been established in Andhra Pradesh. The state-wise number of ATLs established, including

(c) The Finance Minister, in the 2025-26 budget, had announced the establishment of 50,000 ATLs in Government schools, in the next five years. These ATLs will be established by the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education.
(d) The new ATL Schemes is under formulation in the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education.
(e) A total of 1,046 (10.46%) ATLs have been established in Aspirational Districts & 375 (3.75%) ATLs have been established in the Aspirational Blocks of the country. Further, 5,694 (57%) of the total ATLs have been established in rural areas of the country.
