Parliament Question: EV-servicing Training Centres

GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF HEAVY INDUSTRIES LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 1583 ANSWERED ON 28.07.2026 EV-SERVICING TRAINING CENTRES

1583. SHRI VAMSI KRISHNA GADDAM:

Will the Minister of HEAVY INDUSTRIES be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Government is aware that youth in the NTPC–SCCL coal belt of Peddapalli region require technical skill transition support;

(b) whether the Government proposes to support EV-servicing training centres in Peddapalli, Ramagundam, Mancherial, Mandamarri and Bellampalli areas;

(c) whether the proposed centres will provide training in EV servicing, battery diagnostics, charging infrastructure maintenance and electrical safety;

(d) whether the Government will coordinate with ITIs, polytechnics, SCCL, NTPC and local industries for practical training;

(e) the details of number of youth proposed to be trained annually; and

(f) the details of timeline for sanction and implementation? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR HEAVY INDUSTRIES (SHRI BHUPATHIRAJU SRINIVASA VARMA)

(a) & (b): No such proposal is under consideration in the Ministry of Heavy Industries.

(c) to (f): Question does not arise in view of answer to part (a) and (b). *******
