3759. SHRI BASAVARAJ BOMMAI:
Will the Minister of HEAVY INDUSTRIES be pleased to state:
(a) the total electric vehicle sales and processed reimbursement claims under the PM EDRIVE scheme as of June 2026;
(b) the data indicating daily fuel savings and associated carbon dioxide reduction achieved through green mobility adoption in last three years;
(c) whether the pace of deployment of public fast-charging infrastructure has accelerated across major urban centres and key highway corridors as of June 2026; and
(d) if so, the details thereof? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR HEAVY INDUSTRIES (SHRI BHUPATHIRAJU SRINIVASA VARMA)
(a): Under PM E-DRIVE scheme, incentives are provided to eligible electric vehicle (EV) buyers in the form of an upfront reduction in the purchase price, which is subsequently reimbursed to the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) by the Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI).
Accordingly, the details of EV sales and number of EVs for which claims processed and reimbursement released to OEMs under the PM E-DRIVE Scheme, as on 30.06.2026, are as under :

(b): No such assessment has been done by MHI.
(c) & (d): Under FAME-II scheme of MHI, as on 01.07.2026, 9,583 numbers EV public charging stations (EV PCS) have been installed on pan India basis including major urban centres and key highway corridors. This includes 9,353 numbers EVPCS installed by oil marketing companies (OMCs) of MoPNG, all of which are fast charging infrastructure.
Further, under the PM E-DRIVE Scheme, ₹2,000 crore has been allocated for deployment of EV public fast charging infrastructure across the country including major urban centres and key highway corridors.
Further, as on 30th June, 2026, ₹689 crore has been approved for deployment of 6,562 numbers EV chargers across 9 states namely Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Delhi and 3 Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) namely, IOCL, BPCL and HPCL.
