1574. SHRI ABHAY KUMAR SINHA:

Will the Minister of TEXTILES वस्त्र मंत्री

be pleased to state :

(a) whether the Government is working on any special scheme to increase handloom and powerloom-based employment in the Aurangabad Lok Sabha Constituency of Bihar;

(b) if so, the details of amount of financial assistance provided to weavers in the district during the last three years;

(c) whether the Government proposes to establish a textile or apparel cluster in Aurangabad and Gaya; and

(d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor? उत्तर ANSWER वस्त्र राज् य मंत्री(श्री पबित्र मार्घरे रटा) THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR TEXTILES (SHRI PABITRA MARGHERITA)

(a): Ministry of Textiles is implementing various schemes/initiatives to increase handloom and powerloom-based employment across the country including Bihar. The major schemes/initiatives include PM Mega Integrated Textile Regions and Apparel (PM MITRA) Parks Scheme which seeks to create a modern, integrated, world class textile infrastructure;

SAMARTH – Scheme for Capacity Building in Textile Sector with the objective of providing demand driven, placement oriented, skilling program; National Handloom Development Programme (NHDP) and Raw Material Supply Scheme (RMSS) for end-to-end support to traditional handloom weavers.

(b): The details of financial assistance provided to weavers under Small Cluster Development Programme a component under NHDP Scheme in Aurangabad district of Bihar State are as
