LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 2609 TO BE ANSWERED ON 04.08.2026 NATIONAL TECHNICAL TEXTILES COMMISSION 2609# SHRI SANTOSH PANDEY:

Will the Minister of TEXTILES वस्त्रमंत्री

be pleased to state :

(a) the details of area of land in acres in Rajnandgaon district under the control of the National Technical Textile Commission;

(b) whether the Government proposes to set up any kind of industry or business on the said land; and

(c) whether the Government proposes to make the said vacant land available to the State Government for any other purpose and if so, the details thereof? उत्तर ANSWER वस्त्र राज् य मंत्री (श्री पबित्र मार्घरे रटा) THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR TEXTILES (SHRI PABITRA MARGHERITA)

(a) to (c): The National Technical Textiles Mission (NTTM) has not acquired any piece of land in Rajnandgaon district or any other district in the country. The Mission is being implemented by the Ministry of Textiles to boost Technical Textiles sector in the country through targeted interventions which focuses on research & innovation in the field of specialty fibres like Carbon fibre, Aramid fibre, Nylon, Composites etc. as well as in different segments of Technical Textiles such as geo textiles, agro textiles, medical textiles etc. and indigenous development of machinery; promoting awareness amongst users; enhancing India’s exports of technical textiles;

and creating human resources with requisite skills. Further, the financial support given under the Mission does not cover the procurement or acquisition of land for any entity or project. The detailed guidelines of the different components of the Mission are available
