L.-33004/99 xxxGIDHxxx सी.जी.-डी.एल.-अ.-01022025-260687 xxxGIDExxx CG-DL-E-01022025-260687 असाधारण EXTRAORDINARY भाग II—खण् ड 4 PART II—Section 4 प्राजधकार स ेप्रकाजित PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY स.ं 2] नई दिल्ली, िुक्रवार, िनवरी 31, 2025/माघ 11, 1946 No. 2] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY, JANUARY 31, 2025/MAGHA 11, 1946 रक्षा मत्रं ालय अजधसचू ना नई दिल्ली, 31 िनवरी, 2025 का.जन.आ. 2(अ).—उत्तर प्रििे सरकार ने अपनी अजधसचू ना सं. 76/2018/1574/1-5-2018-72/2017 तारीख 18 अक्टूबर 2018 के द्वारा जवद्यमान इलाहाबाि जिले का नाम पररवर्तित कर प्रयागराि जिला कर दिया ह;ै और इलाहाबाि छावनी प्रयागराि जिले के भीतर जस्ट्ित ह;ै और छावनी बोडि इलाहाबाि द्वारा जवद्यमान इलाहाबाि छावनी का नाम बिलकर प्रयागराि छावनी करने के जलए अवधाररत दकया गया ह;ै अतः अब, केंद्रीय सरकार छावनी अजधजनयम, 2006 (2006 का 41) की धारा 259 की उप-धारा (1) के साि परित धारा 3 की उप-धारा (1) द्वारा प्रित्त िजियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, िैसा दक छावनी बोडि, इलाहाबाि द्वारा अवधाररत दकया गया ह ै दक रािपत्र म ें इस अजधसूचना के प्रकािन की तारीख से इलाहाबाि छावनी को प्रयागराि छावनी प्रभावी होने की घोषणा करती हIै [फा. सं. 14(6)/2022-रक्षा(क्यू एंड सी)] राकेि जमत्तल, संयक्ु त सजचव 802 GI/2025 (1)2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC.4] MINISTRY OF DEFENCE
NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 31st January, 2025 S.R.O. 2(E).—Whereas, the Government of Uttar Pradesh has vide its notification number 76/2018/1574/1- 5-2018-72/2017 dated the 18th October, 2018, altered the name of the existing district of Allahabad to district of Prayagraj;
And whereas, the Allahabad Cantonment is located within the district of Prayagraj;
And whereas, the Cantonment Board, Allahabad has determined to alter the name of the existing Allahabad Cantonment to Prayagraj Cantonment;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 read with sub-section (1) of section 259 of the Cantonments Act, 2006 (41 of 2006), the Central Government, as determined by the Cantonment Board, Allahabad, hereby declares the Allahabad Cantonment to Prayagraj Cantonment with effect from date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.
