70-71 [ 69] DTP—III-1(a)-(22)70 TAmIL NADU GOVERNmENT GAzETTE [Part III—Sec. 1(a) NOTIfICATIONS by GOVERNMENT PUBLIc DEPARTmENT (Human Rights) Amendments to the Tamil Nadu State Human Rights Commission (Salaries and Allowances and other terms and Conditions of Service of Members) Rules [G.O. Ms. No. 319, Public (Human Rights), 2nd May 2018, CˆF¬ó 19, M÷‹H, F¼õœÀõ˜ ݇´---2049.] No. SRO A-29/2018. —In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) and clause (a) of sub-section (2) of

Section 41 of the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993 (central Act 10 of 1994), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Tamil Nadu State Human Rights commission (Salaries and Allowances and other terms and conditions of service of members) Rules, 1996:- Amendments In the said Rules,-

(1) In rule 3,

(i) in sub-rule (a) for the expression ‘‘Rs. 90,000/- per month’’, the expression ‘‘Rs.2,50,000/- per month’’ shall be substituted;

(ii) in sub-rules (b) and (c), for the expression ‘‘Rs. 80,000/- per month’’, the expression ‘‘Rs.2,25,000/- per month’’ shall be substituted;

(2) in rule 4, for the expression ‘‘Rs. 80,000/- per month and above’’, the expression ‘‘Rs. 2,25,000/- per month and above’’ shall be substituted;

(3) in rule 5,

(i) in sub-rule (b),-

(a) for the expression ‘‘Rs. 80,000/- per month and above’’, the expression ‘‘Rs. 2,25,000/- per month and above’’ shall be substituted;

(b) in sub-rule (b), as so amended, the following shall be added at the end, namely:- ‘‘Where a Judge does not avail himself of the use of an official residence, he may be paid every month an allowance equivalent to an amount of twenty-four per centum of the salary which shall be increased at the rate of :-

(a) Twenty-seven per centum, when Dearness Allowance crosses twenty-five per centum; and

(b) Thirty-per centum, when Dearness Allowance crosses fifty per centum’’; and

(ii) in sub-rule (c), for the expressions ‘‘Rs. 7,500/- per month’’ and ‘‘Rs. 6,000/- per month’’ the expressions ‘‘Rs.34,000/- per month’’ and ‘‘Rs.27,000/- per month’’ shall respectively be substituted.

(i) SI.No: 3 in the said G.O. for "Ex-Servicemen", read as "Human Rights";

(ii) Sl.No: 4 in the said G.O. for "1109" and "Ex-Servicemen",; read as "1102 & 1103" and "Human Rights" respectively.

(iii) G.O. ms. No.926, Public (Human Rights) Department, dated 11-10-2011 read as SI.No:5.

(iv) SI.No:5 and 6 in the said G.O. read as "6 and 7".
