NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 3rd September S.O. (E).— In exercise of the power conferred by clause (37A) of Section 2 of the Railways

(Amendment) Act-2008, the Central Government hereby notifies the project of “Construction of New (Broad gauge) Railway Line from Qadian to Beas (39.68 Kms.) in Firozpur Division of Northern Railway” as a "Special Railway Project" for acquisition of approximately Hactare of land, in districts Gurdaspur and Amritsar of the State of Punjab , for providing national infrastructure for a public purpose with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the official gazette.
