Ministry of Heavy Industries State-wise distribution of projects sanctioned under the “Scheme for Enhancement of Competitiveness in the Indian Capital Goods Sector- Phase-II प्रव तथ: 04 AUG 2026 6:33PM by PIB Delhi The Ministry of Heavy Industries under the Scheme for Enhancement of Competitiveness in the Indian Capital Goods Sector has set up 4 Smart Advanced Manufacturing and Rapid Transformation Hub
(SAMARTH) Centres to promote Industry 4.0. These SAMARTH centres have benefitted over 2700 Industries in terms of onsite demonstration and awareness activities with approximately 33000 professionals trained through more than 300 training programmes.
State-wise distribution of projects sanctioned under the “Scheme for Enhancement of Competitiveness in the Indian Capital Goods Sector- Phase-II” is as under:
Centres of Excellence:

(SAMARTH) Centres. These centres are aimed at creating skill development programs in the field ofIndustry 4.0, Digital Manufacturing, Robotics & Autonomous system and Additive Manufacturing.
Further, Industry 4.0 Experience Centre and Industry 4.0-enabled Model Factory has also been set up for demonstration of Smart Manufacturing technologies, enabling industries to experience Industry 4.0 use cases and digital manufacturing solutions. MHI has also sanctioned setting up of 10 cluster Industry 4.0 Experience Centres nationwide through Centre for Industry 4.0 (C4i4), Pune.
