Amendments in Rule 33 and Rules 37 of the Cinematograph (Certification) Rules, 2024 under section 8 of the Cinematographer Act, 1952

1. (1) इन जनयमों का संजिप्त नाम चलजचत्र (प्रमाणन) संिोधन जनयम, 2026 है।

(2) य ेरािपत्र म ें प्रकािन की तारीख स े प्रवृत्त होंगे।

NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 20th May, 2026 G.S.R. 385(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 8 of the Cinematograph Act, 1952 (37 of

1952), the Central Government hereby makes these rules further to amend the Cinematograph (Certification) Rules, 2024, namely:-

1. (1) These rules may be called the Cinematograph (Certification) Amendment Rules, 2026.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Cinematograph (Certification) Rules, 2024,-

(a) in rule 33, sub-rule (2) shall be omitted.

(b) in rule 33, sub-rule (3), (4) and (5) shall be renumbered as sub-rule (2), (3) and (4), respectively.
