1. संजक्षप्त िीर्कड और प्रारंभ, -

(1) इि जिजियमों को पेरोजलयम और प्राकृजतक गैस जियामक बोड ड (िगर या स्ट्थािीय प्राकृजतक गसै जितरण िेटिकड के जलए सुरक्षा मािकों सजित तकिीकी मािक और जिजिजियॉं) संिोधि जिजियम, 2024 किा िाएगा।

(2) य े सरकारी रािपत्र म ेंउिके प्रकािि की तारीख स ेलागू िोंगे।

2. पेरोजलयम और प्राकृजतक गसै जिजियामक बोडड (िगर या स्ट्थािीय प्राकृजतक गैस जितरण िेटिकड के जलए सुरक्षा मािकों सजित तकिीकी मािकों और जिजिजियॉं) जिजियम, 2008 म,ें - 1118 GI/2024 (1)2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART III—SEC.4]

(i) जिजियम 2(1)(छ) म-ें क) परंतुक म,ें "सीिीडी िेटिकड को सीिीडी िेटिकड का एक भाग मािा िाएगा,....." िब्िों के बाि और "....तथाजप प्राजधकृत संस्ट्थ ा" िब्िों स े पिल,े जिम्नजलजखत पैराग्राफ सजममजलत िोगा, अथातड ्:- ‘’यदि आिश्यक िो, तो पीएििीआरबी स े पूिड अिुमोिि के अधीि, प्राजधकृत संस्ट् था अपि े प्राजधकरण की तारीख स े 2 िर्ड की प्रारंजभक अिजध के जलए ऐसे सीिीएस के साथ कम प्रेिि सुजिधाओं को स्ट्थाजपत और संचाजलत कर सकती ि।ै 2 िर्ड की अिजध की समाजप्त पर, प्राजधकृत संस्ट् था तरु ंत ऐसी कम प्रेिि सुजिधाओं का संचालि बंि कर िेगी।‘’ ख) "तथाजप" िब्ि, "तथाजप, दकसी भी जस्ट्थजत म"ें िब्ि स ेप्रजतस्ट्थाजपत िोंग े;

No. PNGRB/Auth/1-CGD (04)/2023 (P-4451).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 61 of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board Act, 2006 (19 of 2006), the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (Technical Standards and Specifications including Safety Standards for City or Local Natural Gas Distribution Networks) Regulations, 2008, namely:-

1. Short title and commencement,-

(1) These regulations may be called the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (Technical Standards and Specifications including Safety Standards for City or Local Natural Gas Distribution Networks) Amendment Regulations, 2024.[भाग III—खण् ड 4] भारत का रािपत्र : असाधारण 3

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the official Gazette.

2. In the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (Technical Standards and Specifications including Safety Standards for City or Local Natural Gas Distribution Networks) Regulations, 2008, -

(i) In regulation 2(1)(g), - a) in the proviso, after the words “CGD network shall be considered as a part of CGD network,…..” and before the words “….however the authorized entity”, the following shall be inserted namely:- “If required, subject to prior approval from PNGRB, the authorized entity may set up and operate compression facilities along with such CGS for an initial period of 2 years from the date of its authorization. Upon the expiration of 2 years period, the authorized entity shall immediately cease the operation of such compression facilities.” b) for the word “however”, the words “However, in any case,” shall be substituted;

c) after the words “customer…” and before the word “…outside” the words “from the pipeline” shall be deleted. d) at the end of proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:- “Provided further that in cases where CGS is established inside or outside the Authorized Geographical Area, but the Board is satisfied that there is necessity or expediency that the pipeline connecting from such CGS shall have to pass through other Geographical Area(s), then the Board may grant approval for such pipelines, and such approved pipelines shall be considered as a part of the authorized CGD network, however the authorized entity shall not supply natural gas to any customer from such pipeline outside its geographical area.” VANDANA SHARMA, Secy.
