Whereas the draft of the Karnataka General Services (Printing, Stationary and Publications) (Recruitment) (Amendment) Rules, 2025 was published as required by clause

(a) of sub-section (2) of section 3 of the said Act (Karnataka Act of 1990) in Notification No:

EP 42 ESW 2024, Dated:23.06.2025 in Part: IVA, No:370, of the Karnataka Gazette Extraordinary dated 23.06.2025 inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby within fifteen days from the date of publication of the draft in the official gazette

Whereas, the said Gazette was made available to the public on 23.06.2025

And Whereas, no objections and suggestions have been received in this behalf by the State Government.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 3 read with Section 8 of the Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990), the Government of Karnataka makes the following rules namely;

1. Title and commencement ; (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka General Services (Printing, Stationary and Publications) (Recruitment) (Amendment) Rules, 2025.

(2) They shall come into force from the date of their final publication in the official Gazette.

2. Amendment of Schedule : In the Karnataka General Services (Printing, Stationary and Publications) (Recruitment) Rules, 2022, in the Schedule, in the category of the post of 'Director' at serial number 1, for column (5) and the entries relating thereunder, the following shall be substituted, namely:- "Must have put in a service of not less than one year in the cadre of Joint Director."
