The Ministry of Science and Technology, through its network of 71 research institutions operating under three departments namely, the Department of Science and Technology (DST), the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), and the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR)/Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is actively engaged in advancing research and development across the country. List of the R&D institutions is at Annexure – I.
The details on allocation, expenditure/spending and patents received by these R&D institutions under Ministry of Science and Technology is at Annexure - II.
