GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF AYUSH LOK SABHA STARRED QUESTION NO. 296 ANSWERED ON 07.08.2026 AYUSH NIVESH SAARTHI *296. SHRI ANIL YESHWANT DESAI

Will the Minister of AYUSH be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Government has taken any initiative to popularize Indian traditional medical system under the ‘AYUSH Nivesh Saarthi', if so, the details thereof;

(b) the details of the major traditional medicines being produced by Ayurvedic, Unani, Siddha and natural medicine production units in the country; and

(c) the details of the manufacturing units of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) producing the same and the number of people working therein? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE (IC) OF THE MINISTRY OF AYUSH (SHRI PRATAPRAO JADHAV)

(a) :Ministry of Ayush has launched Ayush Nivesh Saarthi portal on 29th May 2025 which aims to boost traditional medicine systems as a strong economic sector of the country. The portal has acted as a comprehensive investment facilitation platform, promoting opportunities in Ayush sector. It serves as a global hub for information related to trade in medicinal plants and supports the growing export market for Ayush products encouraging research and development as well as collaborations between industry and academia.

(b) :Ministry of Ayush has published the National List of Essential Ayush Medicines

(NLEAM) comprising 201 Ayurveda, 200 Siddha, 200 Unani and 200 Homoeopathy drugs in year 2022 which are being produced by medicine production units in the country. (details available at
