Parliament Question: Implementation of AB-PMJAY in Dahod

Will the Minister of HEALTHAND FAMILYWELFAREbe pleased tostate:

(a) the total number of beneficiaries covered and hospitalisations underthe Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) in the Dahod Parliamentary constituency inGujarat from January 2023toMay 2026;

(b) the details of the empanelment of public and private hospitals under AB-PMJAY in Tier-II andTier-III towns andtribal areasof the said constituency;

(c) the number of Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (AAMs) operational in the said constituency andthe progress made towards creatingAyushman Bharat HealthAccounts(ABHA) for rural people;and

(d) the specific data regarding the rate of hospitalisation for women and the estimated reduction in out-of-pocket medical expenditure for families in the said constituency since the inceptionof AB-PMJAY? ANSWER THE MINISTER OFSTATEIN THE MINISTRYOFHEALTHAND FAMILYWELFARE

(a) and (b): The constituency-wise data is not captured under Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY), however, the district-wise details of Ayushman

Cards createdinthe districts underthe Dahod LokSabhaConstituency canbe accessed at:

https://dashboard.nha.gov.in/public/card Further, a total of 73,021 hospital admissions in Dahod District and a total of 38,270 hospital admissions in Mahisagar District of Dahod Lok Sabha constituency have been authorised underthe scheme from January 2023toMay 2026.

canbe accessed at: https://hem.nha.gov.in/search(c): Through1.86lakh AyushmanArogya Mandir (AAM), comprehensive primary healthcare is provided by strengthening Sub Health Centres and Primary Health Centres. As per the AAM Portal as on 30.06.2026, the number of operational AAM in the State of Gujarat is 10625including528and227inDahodandMahisagardistricts, respectively.

Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) is a key building block of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). It is a unique 14-digit health identifier which allows citizens to securely access and manage their digital health records across the healthcare ecosystem.

While creating ABHA, only district-level details are captured based on the address details available in Aadhaar, and rural-urban bifurcation of ABHA creation is not maintained under ABDM. As on 31.07.2026, a total of 8.60 lakh and 17.93 lakh ABHA have been created in the Mahisagar & Dahod districts respectively falling under the Dahod Parliamentary Constituency inthe State of Gujarat.

(d): As on 31.07.2026,a total of 1.34 lakh hospital admissions, amounting toRs.285.99 crore were authorised under AB-PMJAY in Dahod district. In Mahisagar district, 68,167 hospital admissions, amounting to Rs.187.71 crore, were authorised during the same period. Of these, 63,917 admissions in Dahod district, constituting 47.7 % of the total admissions and amounting to Rs.113.51 crore, pertained to eligible female beneficiaries. Similarly, in Mahisagar district, 29,327 admissions, constituting 43.02% of the total admissions and amountingtoRs. 70.82crore,pertained toeligiblefemale beneficiaries.

By providing eligible beneficiary families with cashless access to secondary and tertiary healthcare services at empanelled hospitals, the scheme has significantly reduced the financial burden associated with hospitalization and provided protection against catastrophic healthexpenditure.
