be pleased to State:

(a) whether Government has implemented the Rashtriya Gokul Mission (RGM) in Tamil Nadu during the last three years and if so, the details of projects approved and their present status;

(b) the details of funds sanctioned, released and utilised under the Mission for Tamil Nadu and the details of assistance provided, component-wise;

(c) whether assistance has been provided for indigenous breed development, artificial insemination, embryo transfer technology, semen stations, Gokul Grams, In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) facilities and other bovine breeding infrastructure in Tamil Nadu and if so, the details thereof;

(d) whether the Government proposes to further strengthen bovine breeding infrastructure, including Gokul Grams, semen stations, IVF laboratories and breed multiplication farms in Tamil Nadu and if so, the details thereof; and

(e) the measures taken to promote indigenous cattle conservation, genetic improvement, higher milk productivity and sustainable dairy development in Tamil Nadu under the Rashtriya Gokul Mission? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF FISHERIES, ANIMAL HUSBANDRY AND DAIRYING (SHRI RAJIV RANJAN SINGH ALIAS LALAN SINGH)

(a), (b), (c) and (e) Rashtriya Gokul Mission (RGM) is implemented for development and conservation of indigenous breeds, genetic upgradation of bovine population and enhancement of milk production and productivity. Under the scheme, Central assistance of Rs. 12,521.83 lakh released to Tamil Nadu during the last 3 year which has been utilized by the State. The component- wise details of assistance provided under the RGM scheme in the state of Tamil Nadu is annexed.

During the last three years, an amount of Rs. 9,525.07 lakh have been released and utilized in Tamil Nadu under National Programme for Dairy Development (NPDD) scheme for the creation and strengthening of dairy infrastructure in the State.

(d) The RGM scheme is demand driven and the proposals received from the States/UTs are considered as per guidelines. The component of establishment of Gokul Gram has been discontinued under revised and realigned Rashtriya Gokul Mission from 2021-22 to 2025-26.

provided to Tamil Nadu during last 3 years Nationwide Artificial Rs. 9,115.24 lakh During last 3 years, 36.13 lakh artificial Insemination insemination performed and 24.14 lakh farmers Programme (NAIP) benefitted Strengthening of Rs. 3,001.59 lakh 4 semen stations strengthened at Eachenkottai, Semen Stations Ooty, Hosur, Udhgamandalam during last 3 years and Alamadhi during 2022-23.

Multi-Purpose Rs. 405 lakh Assistance of Rs. 31,000 is made available for Artificial Insemination training and Rs. 50,000 is made available for Technicians in Rural equipment of each MAITRI. 475 MAITRIs India (MAITRI) trained and equipped in last 3 years.

Implementation of in- Rs. 522.64 lakh 2 IVF laboratories at Hosur and Namakkal for Vitro Fertilization promotion of indigenous breeds with assistance of

(IVF) Technology* Rs. 522.64 lakh.

Implementation of Sex Rs. 1,863 lakh Sex sorted semen facility established at District Sorted Semen Livestock Farm, Udhgamandalam with assistance technology* of Rs. 1,863 lakh. A total of 7.79 lakh doses of sex sorted semen have been produced. Additionally, one sex sorted semen facility with indigenous technology have been created at Alamadhi.

Heifer rearing centres Rs. 341.25 lakh An amount of Rs. 341.25 lakh have been released

(HRC)# for HRCs at Sivagangai, Salem, Thanjavur during current financial year.

Breed Multiplication Rs. 273.10 lakh 3 BMF have been established (two at Coimbatore Farm (BMF) as subsidy** and one at Villupuram).

Total project cost sanctioned- Rs. 1,036.39 lakh Total subsidy approved - Rs. 515.20 lakh *Funds released before FY 2023-24. #Funds released during FY 2026-27 ** Funds released as subsidy to BMF applicants
