Parliament Question: Routes under UDAN Scheme

be pleased to state:-

(a) the total number of routes and airports including heliports operationalised under the UDAN Scheme along with the total number of passengers served as of July, 2026;

(b) the list of routes and airports sanctioned or operationalised under the UDAN scheme, particularly for Tamil Nadu, district-wise; and

(c) the statistical details of the number of flights operated under the said Scheme nationwide as compared to the targets achieved in underserved and unserved regions? ANSWER Minister of State in the Ministry of CIVIL AVIATION (Shri Murlidhar Mohol)

(a) As on 10.07.2026, under the UDAN Scheme, 679 RCS routes connecting 95 airports, including 17 heliports and 02 water aerodromes, have been operationalised, benefiting 168 lakh passengers.

(b) In Tamil Nadu, four airports, namely Salem, Vellore, Neyveli and Tanjore, have been identified for development and operation of RCS flights. The list of routes operationalised under the UDAN Scheme in Tamil Nadu, district-wise, is at Annexure.

(c) As on 10.07.2026, a total of 3.58 lakh RCS flights have been operated nationwide under the UDAN Scheme, connecting unserved and underserved aerodromes. ******Annexure Operationalised RCS Routes and Airports under UDAN in Tamil Nadu S. No. District Operationalised Route
