Will the Minister of RURAL DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:

(a) the details of watershed development projects sanctioned under the Watershed Development Component of the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY-WDC) in eastern Uttar Pradesh during the last three years;

(b) the details of funds sanctioned, released and utilised for these projects, district-wise;

(c) the physical progress achieved in terms of soil and water conservation, water harvesting structures and treatment of degraded land and the outcome of these projects in improving groundwater recharge and irrigation potential;

(d) the total number of assets created under the PMKSY-WDC in YSR Kadapa District, Andhra Pradesh;

(e) the number of beneficiaries like small, medium and landless farmers benefitted by the construction of these assets, project-wise; and

(f) whether the geo-tagging of these assets have been completed, if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT (Dr. CHANDRA SEKHAR PEMMASANI)

(a) Three (03 Nos.) Watershed Development projects have been sanctioned under the Watershed Development Component of the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana 2.0 (WDC-PMKSY 2.0) in eastern Uttar Pradesh during 2024-25, as per details given below:

(d) As per the information received from State Govt. of Andhra Pradesh, a total of 8,333 assets have been created under WDC-PMKSY 2.0 in YSR Kadapa District of Andhra Pradesh. Out of these, 2,443 Soil and Moisture Conservation (SMC) works and Water Harvesting Structures

(WHS) have been executed under the Natural Resource Management (NRM) component; 1,135 community assets have been created under the Entry Point Activities (EPA) component, and under the Production System and Micro Enterprises (PSI) component 4,755 no. of units of agricultural implements distributed to the farmers under WDC-PMKSY 2.0.

(e) The project-wise details of total number of beneficiaries like small and medium farmers, landless farmers etc., benefitted under the ten (10) ongoing WDC-PMKSY 2.0 projects are given at Annexure-I.

(f) Yes.
