THE REPRESENTATION OF THE PEOPLE ACT, 1951.

No. GG/33/2026/KAV/102025/ELC-01(P.F.-1)/SB-1: In Pursuance of the provisions of Section 28-A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 and in view of the directions contained in the Election Commission of India's Letter No.464/INST/EPS/2023 (Election Official), dated 7th June, 2023 the Government of Gujarat hereby declares the below mentioned Police officers as designated officers for the purposes of Section 28-A of the Representation of People Act, 1951 for conduct of the Bye Election to 111-Umreth Assembly Constituencies-2026:- IV-A Ex.-25 25-125-2 GUJARAT GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, EX., 18-03-2026 [ PART IV-A

1. The Director General of Police/Additional Director General of Police/ Inspector General of Police.

2. In the case of a bye election, the Additional DG/DIG/Commissioner of Police under whose jurisdiction the constituency falls, and all police officers below them in the districts/constituencies concerned.

This order shall be effective from the 15th March 2026 and shall remain in force till the date of completion of process of the said Bye elections.
