Ministry of Health and Family Welfare ICMR-CRMCH Chandrapur organises SHINE Open School Day 2026 to Inspire Young Minds Towards Biomedical Research प्रव तथ: 14 AUG 2026 9:22PM by PIB Mumbai : Mumbai, 14 August 2026 The ICMR-Centre for Research, Management and Control of Haemoglobinopathies (ICMR-CRMCH), Chandrapur organised SHINE Open School Day 2026 on 11–12 August 2026 under the flagship initiative of the Indian Council of Medical Research

(ICMR), SHINE – Science and Health Innovation for Next-Gen Explorers. The programme was organised to commemorate the birth anniversary of Prof. V.

Ramalingaswami, an eminent medical scientist and pioneer of biomedical research in India. The initiative aimed to foster scientific curiosity among school students and provide them with first-hand exposure to biomedical research, public health and the scientific ecosystem of ICMR.

A total of 220 students from Classes IX to XII, representing four schools of Chandrapur — Narayana Vidyalaya, Vidya Niketan, Mount Litera School and Indira Gandhi High School — participated in the two-day programme.
