NOTIFICATION The draft of the following rules further to amend the Karnataka Educational Institutions (Registration and Recognition of Commerce Institutes) Rules, 1999, which the Government of Karnataka proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by section 145 of the Karnataka Education Act, 1983 (Karnataka Act 1 of 1995) in Notification No:ED 135 SOH 2011, Dated:10th February 2022 in Part –IVA (No.74) of the Karnataka Gazette Extra-ordinary, dated 10th February 2022 inviting suggestions and objections from persons likely to be affected thereby within thirty days from the date of publication of draft in the Official Gazette.

Whereas, the said Gazette was made available to the public on 14th February

2022.

And whereas, no objections and suggestions received in respect of the said draft rules.

Now therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by the Karnataka Educational Institutions (Registration and Recognition of Commerce Institutes) Rules, 1999, which the Government of Karnataka proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by section 145 of the Karnataka Education Act, 1983 (Karnataka Act 1 of 1995) hereby makes the following rules, namely:-

1. Title and Commencement:-(1) These rules may be called the Karnataka Educational Institutions (Registration and Recognition of Commerce Institutes) (Amendment) Rules, 2022.

(2)They shall come into force from the date of their final publication in the official Gazette.

2. Amendment of rule 2L:- In the Karnataka Educational Institutions (Registration and Recognition of Commerce Institutes) Rules, 1999 (hereinafter referred as said rules), in rule 2L,-

(i) for sub-rule (3), the following shall be substituted, namely:- “(3) must have passed Diploma in Commercial practice conducted by Technical Board; or”

(ii) after sub-rule (3), so substituted, the following new sub-rule shall be inserted, namely:- “(4) must have passed PUC or equivalent examination and office automation and graphic designer course conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board.”

3. Amendment of rule-2N:-- In rule 2N of the said rules,-

(i) in clause (a), for the word, figures and letters “Rs.3000-00 p.m”, the word, figures and letters “Rs.6000-00p.m”, shall be substituted; and

(ii) in clause (b), for the word, figures and letters “Rs.1500-00 p.m”, the word, figures and letters “Rs.3000-00p.m”, shall be substituted.
