Will the Minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be pleased to state:

(a) the number of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) units registered on the Udyam portal in Thanjavur district in Tamil Nadu during the last five years, Sector-wise;

(b) the quantum of credit disbursed to MSMEs in the district under the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises or other central schemes during the same period; and

(c) whether any dedicated cluster development programme is proposed for traditional industries such as handicrafts, brass work or rice mill machinery manufacturing in Thanjavur district and if so, the details and the timeline thereof? (a): The total number of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) units registered in Thanjavur district in Tamil Nadu since the launch of Udyam portal in July, 2020 is 1,82,191.

The details of MSMEs registered in Thanjavur district during the last five years are as under:

(b): Ministry of MSME implements Credit Guarantee Scheme (CGS) for Micro Small Enterprises

(MSEs) through Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE) to provide credit guarantees for the credit facilities extended to new as well as existing MSEs without the requirement of collateral security or third-party guarantees.: 2 :

are as below:

(c): The Micro and Small Enterprises-Cluster Development Programme (MSE-CDP) is a demand-driven Central Sector Scheme under which project proposals for establishment of Common Facility Centres (CFCs) and Infrastructure Development (ID) projects are submitted by the State Governments/UTs based on the common needs of MSEs in district. Such proposals are considered by the Ministry as per the extant scheme guidelines. At present, no proposal for a dedicated cluster development project covering traditional industries such as handicrafts, brass work or rice mill machinery manufacturing in Thanjavur district has been received from the State Government.
