Parliament Question: MSMEs in Uttar Pradesh

GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUMENTERPRISES LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 865 TO BE ANSWERED ON 23.07.2026 MSMEs IN UTTAR PRADESH

865. SHRI LALJI VERMA:

Will the Minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be pleased to state:

(a) the details of the total number of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) units registered and shut down in Ambedkar Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh during the year 2019 to 2026, year-wise;

(b) whether 1,37,164 MSMEs units shut down across the country between July 2020 to March 31, 2026 and if so, the details thereof; and

(c) whether the Government is implementing any special schemes or providing assistance packages for the long-term sustainability, revival and employment generation of MSMEs in the said district and if so, the details thereof? (a): The total number of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) units registered and shut down in Ambedkar Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh during the year 2019 to 2026 as under :

(c): The Government is implementing several schemes and programmes for the growth sustainability, revival and employment generation of MSMEs across the country, including in Ambedkar Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh. These inter alia include Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), Credit Guarantee Scheme (CGS) for Micro and Small Enterprises

(MSEs), Micro and Small Enterprises-Cluster Development Programme (MSE-CDP), Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme (ESDP), Procurement and Marketing Support Scheme (PMSS), International Cooperation scheme, Tool Rooms, Technology Centre System Programme, National SC/ST Hub (NSSH), MSME Champions, Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Programme, PM Vishwakarma etc.
